From the upper Cape

  • Take the Mid-Cape Highway
    Rt. 6 to the Orleans Rotary.

  • Exit the rotary onto Rock Harbor Rd. (3rd turn off after entering).

  • Follow Rock Harbor Rd. to end.

  • The CG36500 is berthed at the far end of the parking area.

From the lower Cape

  • Take Rt. 6 to the Orleans Rotary.

  • Exit the rotary onto Rock Harbor Rd. (1st turn off after entering).

  • Follow Rock Harbor Rd. to end.

  • The CG36500 is berthed at the far end of the parking area.

From the upper Cape

  • Take the Mid-Cape Highway

From the upper Cape

  • Take the Mid-Cape Highway
    Rt. 6 to Exit 12.

  • Turn right on Rte 6A.

  • Follow 6A for .8 miles and turn right on Main St.

  • Follow Main St for 1.5 miles

  • The CG36500 is berthed at Nauset Marine East

From the lower Cape

  • Take Rt. 6 to the Orleans Rotary

  • Exit the rotary onto Rte 6A (3rd turn off after enterig)

  • Follow 6A for .5 miles and turn left on to Main St.

  • Follow Main St for 1.2 miles

  • The CG36500 is berthed at Nauset Marine East

The  Orleans Historical Society is a small local history museum on Cape Cod preparing to start a capital campaign for growth and stability. The Operations Manager assists the Executive Director to ensure the museum operates efficiently. Responsibilities include administrative office support, visitor services, event/program management, some exhibition curation/installation, and oversight over the membership program and volunteers. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite required, as well as experience with databases such as PastPerfect or similar. Working knowledge of WordPress a plus. The ideal candidate will be a well-organized professional who enjoys taking on a challenge, a quick-learner who manages time wisely and displays efficiency and independence, is able to multi-task, and can work in a positive team environment in a fast-paced two-person office with an active board and volunteer base. Must be detail-oriented and have good writing skills. A Bachelor's Degree in museum studies, public history, non-profit management or relevant field and work experience. The position is part-time up to 21 hours a week and includes most Saturdays during the season. This is a position that can grow and expand with the right initiative.
