Collections and Exhibitions

We have a large collection of artwork and woodcarvings by local artists, Native American artifacts, chinaware, model ships and more and we also feature special exhibitions regularly.

The OHS hosts a number of cultural events and activites each month, year-round. Many of these are held at the Meeting House and are open to members and visitors alike.

Orleans has a rich history of shipwrecks and life-saving efforts. A recent example is the Motor Lifeboat CG36500, made famous in the Feb 1952 rescue of survivors of the tanker Pendleton.
