DIRECTIONS TO THE MEETING HOUSE MUSEUM
On the road to Nauset Beach!
From the upper Cape take the Mid-Cape Highway Rt. 6 to exit 12. Turn right off the ramp to 1st set of lights. Turn right onto Eldredge Parkway to the second set of lights. Turn right onto Main St. travelling 1/2 mile to River Rd. on the right. The Meeting House is a large antique structure formally used as a Universalist Meeting House.
Parking on both sides.
From the lower Cape take Rt. 6 to the Orleans Rotary. Turn off onto Rt. 28 towards Orleans/Chatham.Past the 1st set of lights stay on Rt. 28 which forks left towards Chatham. At the next light turn left onto Main St. Past the next set of lights travelling 1/2 mile to River Rd. on the right. The Meeting House is a large antique structure formally used as a Universalist Meeting House. Parking on both sides.
DIRECTIONS TO THE LIFEBOAT CG36500
From the upper Cape take the Mid-Cape Highway Rt. 6, to the Orleans Rotary. Exit the rotary onto Rock Harbor Rd. (the 3rd turn off after entering). Follow Rock Harbor Rd. to the end. The CG36500 is berthed at the far end of the parking area.
From the lower Cape take Rt. 6 to the Orleans Rotary. Exit the rotary onto Rock Harbor Rd. (the 1st turn off after entering). Follow Rock Harbor Rd. to the end. The CG36500 is berthed at the far end of the parking area.
DIRECTIONS TO THE JONATHAN YOUNG WINDMILL
From the upper Cape take the Mid-Cape Highway Rt. 6, to the Orleans Rotary. Exit the rotary onto Rt. 28 towards Orleans/Chatham (the 1st turn off after entering the rotary). Turn left at the 1st set of lights into the Windmill parking area.
From the outer Cape take Rt. 6 to the Orleans Rotary. Exit the rotary onto Rt. 28 towards Orleans/Chatham (the 3rd turn off after entering the rotary). Turn left at the 1st set of lights into the Windmill parking area.
ABOUT US
The Orleans Historical Society, a non-profit organization founded under the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1958, was organized to collect and preserve the history of the Town of Orleans.
The museum is open to the public Thursday through Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm, July & August, or by appointment.
