Revolutionary War patriot honor for Isaac Snow

Isaac Snow

The Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) is a patriotic organization that is not as well known as the DAR but just as involved in celebrating our nation’s Revolutionary War heritage. The Cape Cod Chapter of the SAR is planning to honor patriot Isaac Snow of Orleans with a permanent SAR PATRIOT grave marker. The marker will be dedicated at a graveside ceremony at the old Orleans Cemetery . Members of the Chapter and State Society color guards will present the colors and place a wreath at the site – accompanied by a musket salute. Local Boy and Girl Scouts will be invited to participate. Mrs. Bonnie Snow and others will talk about Isaac Snow and his service.
Members of the DAR and SAR will be at the ceremony, and the public is invited. Prior to the ceremony the Orleans Historical Society will host an Open House starting at 9 AM. Artifacts of the Snow family will be on display, including the Isaac Snow Revolutionary War musket.
